CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
All our products are for intimate personal use next to the skin. They are made and finished to order. We guarantee that every item delivered is entirely new and unworn by any other person.
To enable us to fulfil this guarantee, no refunds or returns are accepted. Indeed, in some countries to which we sell it is illegal to make such returns for considerations of health and hygiene.
We have intentionally omitted from our range those items of underwear, like support bras or basques for example, which, in our opinion, require professional fitting.
In the catalogue you have the clearest possible illustrations of the design and colours of the clothing. If, after looking carefully at the photographs and description in the catalogue, you are still unsure about an item's suitability, please do not add it to your Shopping Basket or include it in your purchase. Instead, use the email section to send us a message and we'll do our best to satisfy your concerns. We don't want you to be disappointed.

We are dedicated to developing long-term relationships with our customers who we hope will make other purchases from our range from time to time. It is in our interest to make sure each customer is fully satisfied which we will do within our usual Terms of Business.
Products are made to order, ready for despatch within a maximum of fourteen working days from the receipt of your order and authorisation of your credit card details, usually less.
If any item cannot be completed for despatch within a maximum of fourteen days you will be emailed and an expected delivery date will be given. If this is unacceptable, by responding by email within 24 hours, you may cancel your order for the unavailable item.
Because it is only possible to order items that can be despatched within our target period (maximum fourteen days), orders are invariably shipped as a single consignment. However, in unusual circumstances an order may be part-shipped. In this event, items despatched after the main order will be shipped at the lowest Postal rate applicable and without cost to you.
PACKING AND DESPATCH
Each item you've ordered will be completed and carefully examined by our Packing and Despatch staff. Each item is then individually wrapped in tissue paper and your entire order placed into a special gift package. This is sealed inside a plain padded bag for despatch.
The external packaging you receive is plain; all packages leave Satin and Spice Dot Com Lingerie with just the consignee's name and address and our return address - not name (a requirement of the Post Office) visible on the package.
There are two exceptions.
Firstly, if Overnight Courier despatch within the UK is requested, the carrier requires that the packer's name and unlisted telephone number is shown on their packaging. Secondly, packages sent by post or carrier to addresses outside the European Union are required by law to carry a Customs Declaration showing a description and value of the goods inside. If this is unacceptable please seek a supplier in your own country who can deliver in plain packaging.
Normal delivery within the UK is by First Class Recorded Delivery Post. Interlink Express delivery (overnight service) is also available. Orders from Europe and Overseas will normally be despatched as Airmail Small Packet "Signed For" International although ordinary Airmail letterpost and UPS are also available.
Please note that we normally only despatch goods to the address to which the credit card statement is also sent. Purchases marked for despatch to another address will be subject to security clearance and sent at customers' risk only.
If an order is delivered in an unsatisfactory condition it is your responsibility to contact the Postal Authorities or Carrier - any remedy is limited by their Conditions of Carriage.
If deliveries cannot be completed due to the customer's failure or refusal to sign for receipt, and the goods are returned to us, undamaged, by the carrier, at our discretion we will refund the cost of the purchase LESS the cost of carriage AND 10% of the order value to cover costs imposed by the Credit Card Issuers.
TAXES
All prices shown in our site include UK VAT. Orders from countries outside the European Union which would not be liable for this tax will be shipped free of charge instead subject to a minimum total value of £25.00. Orders totalling £25 or less will be shipped as Airmail Small Packet for a charge of £15.50. Any other taxes are the responsibility of our client.
SECURITY
We know of no instance that a credit card has been used fraudulently on our site. The entire credit card authorisation process is handled for us by WorldPay using SSL security under which the information is encrypted during transmission from your computer to WorldPay - your credit card details are NEVER divulged to us.
PLEASE NOTE: Because clearance of your purchase is done in Real Time ie while-you-wait, if the card issuing bank is busy, the clearance process may take a few minutes. During this time, it is easy to think that your transaction has been broken off. This is almost never the case. PLEASE BE PATIENT. If you press the "Submit" button more than once a duplicate order may be placed. In such eventuality we will refund the duplicate less a charge to cover the credit card clearance and refund fees levied by WorldPay.
If you are still uncomfortable at using this security for your valuable information, we also accept Paypal and NoChex or a cheque drawn in sterling on a British bank for the total amount including shipping. Naturally, despatch will be delayed until your cheque is cleared.
Please enter your email address carefully; incorrect or incomplete email addresses invariably result in higher level security checks which in turn can delay fulfilment of your order.
Satin and Spice Dot Com Lingerie NEVER discloses customers' information to third parties. Very occasionally we email previous customers with promotions or product changes. If you prefer not to receive these messages we are happy to comply with your instructions. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item.
All our lingerie and underwear garments are completed to order and are thus excluded from the provisions of this legislation. However, you are generously protected by our own Terms and Conditions of Business which are set out above. In fact, in certain respects we offer more stringent guarantees than those embodied in the law.
Satin and Spice Dot Com Lingerie guarantees that no garment sold by the company has EVER been worn by any person, nor has it been offered on approval or nor accepted in exchange. We think this is a valuable and proper guarantee to make, protecting our customers against any communicable disease or ailment.
To enable us to offer this important guarantee we do not sell items like bras which, in our opinion, need professional one-to-one fitting. More importantly, we also encourage customers not to purchase items unless they are sure the garment will be right for the intended wearer. We offer a personal advice service which gives impartial advice and as many further details as you may wish. Finally, all goods are individually checked before packing, to ensure that no flawed product is ever sent to a customer.
All sales are completed contracts. We do not accept returns or offer exchanges.
Nothing in our Terms of Business supercedes consumers' protection under English law.
